New executive offices for a progressive women's foundation occupy the top two floors at 120 Wall Street. This penthouse space with breathtaking views of New York Harbor was described by the New York Times as "How social change should look." A dramatic new stairway and atrium space connect the top two floors of their penthouse which sat empty for years. Working closely with the client from the site selection through the selection of furnishings, we were able to create a striking, yet affordable, space for a growing foundation with a limited budget. Utilizing an unusual palette of off-the-shelf materials including industrial and glass contrasted against warmer colors and woods has created a permanent home for the Ms. Foundation that is equally uplifting and inviting.
